NAKIVO at VMware Explore 2023 US: Recap
NAKIVO attended VMware Explore 2023 (known as VMworld until 2021), the IT industry’s biggest event for virtualization and multi-cloud innovations. VMware has been hosting this event in the US since 2004 and in Europe since 2008. Every year, VMware Explore brings together professionals and visionaries in enterprise applications, cloud architecture, networking, and cybersecurity.
This year’s VMware Explore edition in the US has officially wrapped up, leaving us with a fantastic outcome and a wealth of valuable knowledge. We had an incredible time at the innovation hub! It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in the multi-cloud landscape and network with like-minded professionals.

NAKIVO at VMware Explore 2023
NAKIVO had a strong presence at VMware Explore 2023 US, showcasing the latest features and capabilities of our data protection solution, NAKIVO Backup & Replication. The event offered us a perfect platform for exchanging visions, presenting demos of NAKIVO Backup & Replication and engaging with data protection and virtualization professionals.
NAKIVO Backup & Replication has made great strides in cloud integration, ensuring excellent flexibility and centralized protection in hybrid environments employing a multi-cloud storage and computing architecture. These milestones align perfectly with the theme of this year’s VMware Explore: The center of the multi-cloud universe.
With the latest NAKIVO Backup & Replication v10.9 release, NAKIVO took data protection a step further by introducing features like bare-metal recovery, pre-recovery malware scanning for backups and direct VM recovery from tape. The added functionality caters to the needs of SMBs, enterprises and MSPs, helping them ensure business continuity in the evolving digital landscape. NAKIVO has also been ahead of other data protection vendors in providing support for the latest versions of VMware vSphere, with v10.9 delivering support for VMware 8 U1.
Real-Time Replication Sneak Peek
One of NAKIVO’s highlights was the exclusive preview of our upcoming Real-Time ReplicationBETA for VMware functionality in v10.10 Beta. This functionality, highly requested by our customers and partners, provides continuous data protection by replicating VMware VMs in real time, with RPO as low as 1 second. This short RPO ensures minimal data loss and near-zero downtime in the event of a disaster. It was a pleasure to announce this exciting new functionality at the VMware Explore 2023 event.
Engaging and Networking
Our pre-sales engineers did a remarkable job showcasing NAKIVO Backup & Replication to a diverse and enthusiastic audience. They delivered over 250 live demos, giving attendees clear insights into the capabilities of our solution.
Beyond demos and presentations, we had the pleasure of interacting with our valued customers and partners. This provided us with the chance to talk about ongoing promotions and share updates on our recent achievements. We pinpointed several opportunities for future collaboration and are excited to continue building strong relationships within our network.
Media Interaction
Our presence extended beyond the event floor. We also engaged with media representatives, influential bloggers, and industry experts, sharing updates on version 10.9 and the ongoing testing of Real-Time ReplicationBETA for VMware. Several guests were particularly interested in seeing a live demo of the new functionality, which we were happy to provide.
