ZETOR started manufacturing tractors in the post-war period after 1945. The first ZETOR tractor, the Z 25, was delivered in 1946. ZETOR’s operating data is stored on virtual machines and mainly consists of planning, projection, and business systems. In the era of cybercrime and other threats to business continuity, data backup is essential for ZETOR. Without proper backup and recovery processes, the company’s operations would be exposed to high risk. In case of data loss, the company’s operations can come to a complete halt, disrupting production, trade, and supply.
ZETOR’s environment was previously protected by a different backup solution. The company decided to switch to a different vendor because the existing solution was too expensive. Moreover, backup jobs took longer than acceptable, and there was too much administration effort for the IT team. We enjoy the simplicity of the solution and the efficiency of backup management, says Lukas. “Backup to tape is a conservative method that still makes sense, and we recommend this data protection method. Office 365 backup is also offered by NAKIVO Backup & Replication. Therefore, this will be implemented at a later stage in our environment.”
