Campbell, CA, United States — June 5, 2013

NAKIVO Inc., #1 virtualization data protection software provider, has announced today the launch of the Beta program for NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.2. The Beta program provides early access to the upcoming version of NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.2 featuring vCloud Director support, network acceleration, support for RHEL and SLES Linux OSes, improved backup management, and other performance and reliability improvements. All Beta program participants can receive a 10% discount on the released product, have a chance to win a Google Nexus tablet, and can provide direct input into product development. Registration for the Beta program can be found at www.nakivo.com.

Answering the growing need for a data protection solution in a cloud environment, NAKIVO has added support for vCloud Director in v3.2 Beta. NAKIVO Backup & Replication can now back up and replicate vCloud Director vApps, recover files from vApp backups, as well as recover full VMs back into vApps.

WAN and LAN links are often slow or have limited bandwidth, driving the need to optimize network utilization with technology that can reduce network traffic. With NAKIVO Backup & Replication, network acceleration is achieved with enhanced compression and traffic reduction techniques which enable 2X faster backup and replication, as well as recovery of VMs and files from local and offsite backups.

In addition to supporting latest Windows Server and Ubuntu Linux editions, NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.2 Beta now supports Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES). Now shops with only RHEL and SLES can install and operate NAKIVO without the need to deploy and maintain a new OS type.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.2 Beta release offers a complete data protection feature set for virtualized environments, including local and offsite VM backup and replication, support for live applications & databases (Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, etc.), file level recovery from local and offsite backups, deduplication, encryption, as well as scheduled and on-demand reporting.

“After receiving excellent feedback from our Alpha participants, we are excited to release NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.2 Beta,” said Bruce Talley, CEO and Co-founder of NAKIVO. “Together with VMware professionals – including vExperts, VCPs, and VCIs – we are developing the best product for the virtualization data protection market.”
