NAKIVO Inc., #1 virtualization data protection software provider, has announced today that it has launched an Alpha program for NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.9. The Alpha program provides an early access to the upcoming Enterprise edition of NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.9 featuring industry-first multi-tenancy and self-service.

With Multi-Tenancy, enterprises can protect multiple business units through a single interface while each business unit will only have access to their own data through a self-service interface. Managed Services, Cloud, and Hosting Providers can leverage multi-tenancy and self-service features to extend their services to Backup-as-a-Service, Replication-as-a-Service, Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service, and Business-Continuity-as-a-Service. In addition, qualified Cloud Providers can license NAKIVO Backup & Replication on the per-VM monthly rental basis.

Alpha program participants can try the Alpha version of the product, provide feedback and request new features. More information is available at www.nakivo.com.

Built for virtualization, NAKIVO Backup & Replication offers a complete data protection feature set for virtualized environments, including local and offsite VM backup and replication, support for live applications & databases (Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, etc.), granular recovery, network acceleration, global data deduplication , Web UI, AES-256 encryption, advanced reporting, and vCloud Director support.

“With the launch of NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.9 Alpha, we are enabling our cloud service provider partners to test the industry’s first VM backup and replication multi-tenant solution,” said Bruce Talley, CEO and Co-Founder of NAKIVO. “In addition to the enhanced management control and time saving value of multi-tenancy, v3.9 also enables cloud provider to delegate self-service management rights to tenants including view only access and complete control of only their VM protection policies and environment.”

“As a cloud service provider, we anticipate that NAKIVO’s multi-tenancy along with self-service, will improve our operational efficiency and customer response time,” said Primoz Lah, CTO at RvO. “We view NAKIVO as an innovation leader for cloud service providers delivering Backup-as-a-Service, Replication-as-a-Service, Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service, and Business-Continuity-as-a-Service.”
